Our community. our world. our mission.

Rotary is making a difference.

The Sault Ste Marie Rotary Club is 100 years old this year, and our members are excited to both celebrate with, and show appreciation for, our community.  Sault Ste. Marie has supported Rotarians in their efforts to promote Rotary International’s guiding principles of “Service above Self” since 1918.

Rotarians are a diverse group of leaders promoting peace and understanding at a local and global scale. Our members are our most important asset; they are the force that allows Rotary to achieve its mission.

For 100 years, the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie has fostered service, leadership, and good works in our community. Our mandate to support children with physical disabilities has been the heart behind the efforts of hundreds of Rotarians for generations.

It is because of the dedication of tireless volunteers and the extreme generosity of the people of Sault Ste. Marie that our club has had the privilege to donate millions of dollars and touch countless

lives. We reached this century milestone with immeasurable help, so as mentioned above our club wishes to both celebrate with and say “thank-you” to the community with special celebrations and special gifts. This year long celebration is intended to augment our normal cadence of highly anticipated community events including ROTARYFEST, Snowarama, Easter Seals Telethon, Rotary Science Fair Algoma, Station Mall Rotary Charity Golf Classic, and Bell Celebrity Skate & Swim to mention a few.

On behalf of the Sault Ste. Marie Rotary Club, I would like to thank the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie, our many volunteers, our partner organizations and our Rotary Office Staff for their support and commitment in making our club the force for good that it has been in our community over the past 100 years, and the force for good that it will continue to be for the next 100 years to come!! With support like this we all have made a difference, and, will continue to make a difference!!
